WOOHOO !! Awesome ending to an awesome story, thank you so much for this, guys. Gorgeous music, beautiful pacing, I can’t find anything that isn’t spot on. I’m glad the other players were the ones to find Sam, they needed something more. Good ol’ Tack, who’d’ve thought he had that much backbone. And Robin at the end, with the apple? That was priceless, I giggled so hard at that. I hope you work together on some more projects, they’re bound to be brilliant too.
I tend to keep my mouth shut and keep to the shadows . I thought I’d de-lurk and say the following:
‘Holy sh*t cakes Batman!’ you guys have floored me completely with this project. I am amazed and awed at the amount of work and dedication you Guys (and Gals!) have put into this project. I wish you ALL the best of the best for the future. To be sure- there is a new crop of talent to watch out for from my tiny little corner of the internet!
btw- WHAT plant is robin sitting next to in the final shots?? ;) :D

Goosebumps, for serious! I cried…yeah, shut up.

This was so awesome, guys! I can’t even find words to describe how great it was. I would be thrilled if you put out it in DVD format!
Also major props to your cast for getting all sooty and to everyone on your cast & crew for sticking out the dark & cold to make this film!
P.S. I also really liked the embedded video player you use on this website (vimeo?) I played a zillion times more smoothly than others like youtube or quicktime.

Wheeeeee!
This makes me so sweetly happy.
I had forgotten how Seias gets nixed. There is something so beautiful about that. And the shot of Robin at the end added that ticklish yet somehow somber intruige necessary to clinch the whole thing for me.
Also, the shot of Bets when she’s talkign to Ben at the end was so perfect for the mood. The angle and lighting on her face was perfect. I love that.
You guys rock my world (though you still probably won’t “be my girl” hahaha)
:-P

And I almost forgot: The song at the end is glorious. Seriously. The others are glam, but this one is glorious.
Max Katz, I have no idea what kind of plant that is. Some hearty Iowa prairie weed. We got that shot in a small patch of native Iowa prairie that our university is regrowing.
Renfield286, yes there will be a DVD . I’m not sure if our distributer ships to the UK or Europe, but I suspect they might. I’ll look into it further.
Cptnsuz, Vimeo is an amazing free video sharing service. They operate much like youtube only the video is HD and the presentation elegant. I highly recommend them as they’ve been a great home for Wormtooth Nation.
Thank you everyone, we read every comment, and it’s the hight of my day to come home and find a batch of new responses.

I love the concept of this, and its pretty well made. Over all I’ve really enjoyed this.
There are somethings I didn’t get and/or didn’t feel were resolved. Like the red anger flashes around O’Brian. What was that about? And why did you nix your villain? What was he doing there anyhow? Why is O’Brian trying to lead everyone out of his city? (it feels like it could be a power move, but… its just unclear.)
The last episode felt a little rushed and compacted, like you almost had the material for two episodes but smushed it into one.
I gotta say, I'd have LOVED to see another episode. ;p
Anyhow, I’m so glad that Tanya ditched O’Brian. “I wiped your memory, so now all can be forgiven.” What a jerk. :p
So yeah, I really enjoyed this, and the sound-track was awesome. I look forward to seeing what you do next.

I get the feeling a lot of their audience isn’t local. I’m in Texas.
I’m in the magical land of Ohio, where nothing of particular importance happens, but we got some cool people who do cool stuff, once they move out. XD
But, yeah, there are some unclear things, but seriously, what can you do about them? I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on a copy of the script… or, y’know, subtitles. My hearing’s shot, so I’m sure there’s things said in story that I just didn’t get.
Awesome :) I love hearing from people from not Iowa.
It is possible we will make the script available, we had talked about it, I’ll look into it again. Then you would be able to see how well or poorly we followed it :)
WOAH , as I was about to post I discovered we have an add up.
yeah … The way I see it, This thing just had to come together.. it just wanted to happen, so there are plenty of flaws and “god we shoulda done this better”s …. but the fact that it happened at the pace it did (seven or eight months, start of script to premiere, right?) is kindof amazing and is a testament to everyone involved. You moved me. All of you – cast, crew, principals, and artists.
Geoff and Cullen – your success with this is beyond anything I imagined. Its strength is that it has a rich continuity on many levels of understanding. It comes off so much deeper and richer than the early script you shared with me. Beautifully done.
David – the score is incredibly profound in so many ways, perfectly tuned to the events of the story, rife with subtle humor, and filled with many layers of meaning, bordering at times on the religious (especially the main theme – what an allegory for spiritual awakening, just like the film).
It makes me proud to be a citizen of the world, just knowing what the future will bring from you folks.

perhaps this is unnecessary, but I want to share my experience I had just now. After getting back from two weeks in the woods a brief hour or so ago, I was saying hello to my family when one of them said something that triggered my memory: the last two eps of wormtooth were out! and I had access to a computer and intranet! I ran upstairs to the computer (yes, literally. my parents are used to my social gracelessness by now.) clicked to your website, and was struck by an uncontrollable urge to urinate. I believe it was from excitement. I impatiently fulfilled the bodily need, then raced back to the computer and started ep 8.
As the intro started, as the sweet music and bad ass visuals penetrated my consciousness, I gritted my teeth in a grimace of unbearable pleasure, my face contorted, and my arms flailed up and down in fists like some mockery of running or throwing a tantrum. A few more ripples of pleasure, and I settled into the last two episodes. By the time the end shot with robin came around, my eyes were moist, and there was a distinct sniffle or two.
You guys.
This was so much damn fun to watch it actually makes the soot covered endless hours in unheated buildings in the dead of winter weiring a tank top worth it. And by the end of that I had swore (both meanings) never to put myself through shit like that again. Well, if it’s got a chance to be this awesome, and create this much entertainment for me, I’ll cheer lead nakid in the snow for you. Please, please don’t ask me to cheer lead nakid in the snow for you. Think of the children.
Your growth in the craft has been meteoric, both of you. I can’t wait to see where you go, and what you make, from here.
Thank you for an amazing journey and movie, and I really hope you’ve got all the good bloopers on the DVD .
Oh, right after I finished the last episode, I had to pee again.

Ho.. ly… god I LOVED THIS TO NO ENDS !! I got the link from someone I know, who posted episode 1 to me and some other people hanging around, and I decided, “why not, I’ll take a quick look into it.” It started up, and the first thing I heard was the intro of course, (Which, by the way Dave, David, whichever you prefer, kicks ass and blew me away as soon as it started.) And the song got me ready for what was to come. At least I thought it did.
I can honestly say that I’m speechless as to how to describe how much I enjoyed this. After the first couple episodes, I completely lost the fact that this was done by college students. I mean, seriously, this is much much much much MUCH better than ANY series I have EVER seen anywhere on TV. The plot was awesome, the way the actors played it out was amazing, storyline was spot-on perfect, I loved it! I managed it all in one sitting, except for a part where my friend called. This thing was so good I almost cussed him out for interrupting me. >.<
Anywho, I love the whole dark, underground, “We need to be free” setting. You guys pulled it off so well. And going back to the music…
David, man, the fact that you did both the music AND acting as Bottom.. Just, wow dude. I love all the music, all the songs, everything in here. Your music really set the scenes, the beginning song does the series justice, all-in-all… you people blew me the hell away.
And now I finish a rant that I am sure could go on for a good bit longer.
Sincerely, lovin’ your projrct from down here in Florida,
Tamwyn.

This was very good. I found myself involved and unable to stop watching. The story is well written and packed several plot twists into a short story format. The pacing is reminiscent of a good comic book or Manga. Even though it is stated that it was based on a classic I found it novel and fresh.
Locations, costumes, make up, and cinematography were very engaging and fit the story line perfectly.
The acting had some spots where it was merely fair, but in most of the film the acting was very good.

Donny – our movie may have come out before City of Ember, but remember it was a book long before Wormtooth. Credit where credit is due.
I haven’t read the book, but I’m excited about seeing the movie.
i found your ad on my blog (http://www.beardedbunnyblog.blogspot.com). figured id check it out, i loved this show! for the last two days ive been telling everyone to check these videos out, and you now have a number of fans in Minneapolis.
I am also going to do a live painting loosely based on Wormtooth nation this Saturday at 3pm. Feel free to come by and check it out, ill be promoting this show during the live painting.
This was absolutely epic. I loved every part of it and I must know when the DVD comes out. I’ve introduced it to almost every single one of my friends and they are all in various of love, from ‘like it’ to ‘absolutely adore it’.
I loved every part of it, and the Wormtooth gas was a brilliant plot device.
I’ve been staying in the shadows until now, just lurking, but I felt I just had to say something.
Keep up the good work! I expect to see more brilliant work from a great group of students!

Oh, right after I finished the last episode, I had to pee again.

holy feck. this is quite possibly… no, this IS the BEST internet film i have EVER seen. beautiful music, near – perfect professional acting, well recorded… i can’t do this project justice.
Do you think the main page should have esp. 1 on it, so that people coming to the site for the first time don’t see the last eps. by mistake?
That was absolutely spectacular! Thank you so much for the incredible ride. If you ever put it out on DVD , I’d buy it.
This is so awesome it nearly hurts. Make more programs!
This was an excellent production: entertaining, exciting, heartwarming, and incredibly satisfying.
The location was inspired – kudos for organising it. The soundtrack worked quite well. The level of acting and cinematography was incredible.
Over all, a very professional piece of work. I loved it.
Respect and regards from Australia! (Will your DVD ship that far?)
Benedictions.
You never explained how they ended up down there or why.
That was awesome. Looking forward to getting the DVD and being able to watch it all continuously without having to pause to go to the next page. :)
Thank you. That was truly wonderful.
AMAZING I absolutely loved every moment of this. Just watched it all in one sitting. Got the link off of warren Ellis’ http://freakangels.com/whitechapel/
Reminds me a lot of the Neverwhere show by Neil Gaiman. Which I love and own as well. I will be buying the DVD . -TDH
i love how grafitti saved the day lol
freakin sweet!!
Wormtooth Nation – gathering a fan base. I echo all the positive feedback above. I await your nexct project, most eagerly…
WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE ! WE WANT MORE !
That was seriously awesome. I found my way here by way of Girl Genius, and I’m glad I took a chance on a random ad. I’m FLOORED . This was so beautifully done, it’s hard to believe it was a student project and not a professional presentation. WOW WOW WOW . I want a DVD , a t-shirt, and a soundtrack, pronto! Beautiful.
Ho.. ly… god I LOVED THIS TO NO ENDS !!
And going back to the music… David, man, the fact that you did both the music AND acting as Bottom..
I am with thedarkharlequin. The series reminded me a lot of the absolutely fantastic Neverwhere.
Amazing work, guys, you can be very very proud of yourselves.
Beautiful! I’ve allways loved steampunk, and this series has taken steampunk to a whole new level. You guys are extremely talented artists, yes, not film makers, artists. You should all be so proud of yourselves, because the work you do is brilliant! Oh, and the song made me laugh histerically. Keep up the good work, because I expect to see more from you guys!
One Word – freakin’ phenomenal. No, two words. Absolutely freakin’ phenomenal. Damn, three words. Absolutely freakin’ phenomenally perfect. Damnit, four words…
At least we can say that our movie came out before “City of Ember.”
Seriously well done, better than any TV series’ I’ve seen. Shame it wasn’t a bit longer, it is amazing as it is but what it could be…
Thank you for your comments, we really appreciate them :)
Donny – our movie may have come out before City of Ember, but remember it was a book long before Wormtooth. Credit where credit is due. I haven’t read the book, but I’m excited about seeing the movie.

.......golly.

Wow; heard about this yesterday and I have to say it is awesome! Music is fantastic too
I stand, and applaud.
By the gods, this was truly magnificent. I applaud this work, it was fantastic.
