Last night Cully, Donnie and I went to the IMPA awards ceremony, which was a cool experience, lots of really nice, down to eath, Iowa filmmakers.

The really cool part though, was that we took hom 6 awards!

The 3 Awards of Achievement (nominations) that we took were: Entertainment Long Form, Lighting Desing (Cully), and Editing (Cully)

and the 3 Awards of Excellence (1st Place) we took were: Screenplay – Produced, Directing – Long Form (me), and Original Music Score (David J Murphy).

So congrats everyone!

The IMPA, or Iowa Motion Picture Association for those of you less Iowa saavy, awards are this coming Saturday in Des Moines. Geoff and I are going to try to make it. Actually that means Geoff will be there, and I’ll try to be there. We got their award of excellence in the student short film catagory with We Are Theo, and we have hopes with regards to our newer and better horse Wormtooth Nation.

A shoutout to anybody in the Des Moines area! I’m living there for the next month working on a feature film called Ash. It’s fun so far – great group of people and very exciting project.
